NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS
We start with news from clubs that have several events this week.
Worksop Amateur Radio Society has a Young Persons' Foundation course
plus an Advanced course tonight and next Sunday. There's a club night
on Tuesday. Thursday sees a technical night with a talk on DMR.

Wythall Radio Club has its club net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL tonight
and next Sunday. Tuesday sees a Morse class plus a talk on the CAIRO

Midland Amateur Radio Society is visiting the Harwell Rally at

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Monday from 8pm on
145.375MHz and/or 7.16MHz ± QRM. On Friday there's a skittles

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society is having a club net
on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, starting at 7.30pm on 145.550MHz

Lincoln Short-Wave Club has a committee meeting on Monday and is
taking part in the UK Club Contests on Tuesday. On Wednesday there's
a formal meeting. Thursday sees the club simplex net on 145.325MHz
from 8pm. On Saturday there are shack activities plus G5FZ on the

South Birmingham Radio Society has work in the shack on Monday. The

and GB7DR and, when internet connections are established to the
sites, GB7CW, GB7KT and GB7MJ. The organisers wish to point out that
the SouthWest Cluster network is independent of the DMR-marc network.
