NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS
We start with news from clubs that have several events this week.
Worksop Amateur Radio Society has a Young Persons' Foundation course
plus an Advanced course tonight and next Sunday. There's a club night
on Tuesday with participation in the UKAC. Thursday sees a technical
night with construction, CW tuition and radio operation. Contact

Wythall Radio Club has its club net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL tonight
and next Sunday. Tuesday sees a Morse class plus a committee meeting
and preparation for Hamfest. The regular nibbles night in the shack

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Monday from 8pm on

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society is having an informal
and general operating evening on Monday. There are club nets on
Wednesday and Thursday, starting at 7.30pm on 145.550MHz and then

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is taking part in the UK Club Contests on
Tuesday. On Wednesday there's a visit to the Lincoln Astronomical

Network, Slot 2, Talk Group 950, from 6pm tonight and next Sunday,

and GB7DR and, when internet connections are established to the
sites, GB7CW, GB7KT and GB7MJ. The organisers wish to point out that
the SouthWest Cluster network is independent of the DMR-marc network.
