NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

On Sunday 28th September Wythall Radio Club is taking part in the CQ 
Worldwide RTTY Contest and also a net on 145.225MHz at 8pm. Monday 
sees a curry night at the Monsoon and Tuesday there is a Morse class 
at 7.45pm and AGM preparation at 8.30pm. On Friday there is a nibbles 
night in the shack and next Sunday, the 5th, there is a net on

On Monday 29th September Coventry Amateur Radio Society Club has a 
net on 145.375MHz at 8pm. Friday is a talk on 70th anniversaries,

NEWS FOR NORTHERN IRELAND

West Tyrone Amateur Radio Club will run a Foundation course on 25th 
October and 1st November in the Technology Centre, Spillers Place, 
Omagh. The course will be followed by an evening exam on 4th 
November. All course materials will be provided and the fee covers

On Saturday 4th October West Tyrone Amateur Radio Club is holding the 
annual conference at the Village Inn, Killyclogher, Old Mountfield

NEWS FOR THE SOUTH EAST and EAST ANGLIA

A Friday evening net is being launched in the Norwich area on 3rd 
October for newer licensed members of the local amateur community to 
get on the air and discuss topics important for them. The net will be 
run by Nigel, 2E0NLK using the GB3NB repeater and will commence at 
7.30pm for one hour. Everyone will be welcome to join but the main 
intention is to encourage younger members who are perhaps tied up 
with school work on other evenings. Initially this will be on a trial 
basis for the whole of October. If there is sufficient support Nigel 
will continue and encourage a rota of operators to become controllers 
and establish the net as an on-going event.

operating GB100MWT from Sandford Mill for Science and Discovery Day.
