NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. 
Worksop Amateur Radio Society has its Foundation exam tonight, plus 
the Advanced course tonight and next Sunday. There's a club night on 
Tuesday with participation in the UKAC. Thursday sees a technical 
night with construction, CW tuition, radio operation and data modes.

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Monday from 8pm on 
145.375MHz and/or 7.16MHz ± QRM. On Friday there's a project

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society is having a talk on 
aviation electronics on Monday by Algy O'Connell, 2E0LGW. The club

South Birmingham Radio Society is working in the shack on Monday. The 
regular coffee morning in the shack is on Tuesday from 11am. Thursday

Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Monday from

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is taking part in the UK Club Contests on 
Tuesday. On Wednesday there is a demonstration of digital modes. The

NEWS FOR THE NORTH OF ENGLAND

Denby Dale Radio Club regrets to announce that the surplus sale 
advertised for the 16th of March has had to be postponed and replaced 
by a vintage radio evening. This week, Denby Dale Radio Club has a 
night on the air on Wednesday. Next Sunday the club takes part in the

Leicestershire Repeater Group has been running a survey about Digital 
FM. The deadline for replies is midnight tonight, the 6th, so if 
you've been intending to take part please do so ASAP. The survey is

replies will be available there soon after the closing date.

Stockport Radio Society continues its Intermediate course on Monday.

NEWS FOR SCOTLAND

We start with an announcement that the D-Star repeater GB7DA is now 
operational, covering the West of Scotland. Its output frequency is 
145.775MHz, with the usual 600kHz input shift.

Stirling and District Amateur Radio Society has training, 
construction and projects from 10.30am till 2pm today and next 
Sunday. Thursday sees operating, training and presentations from 7
