NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. 
Coventry Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Monday from 8pm on 
145.375MHz and/or 7.16MHz, ±QRM. On Friday there's a talk on

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society is operating from 
Crickley Hill on Monday. The club net is on Wednesday, starting on

South Birmingham Radio Society is closed on Monday. The regular 
coffee morning in the shack is on Tuesday from 11am. Thursday sees

Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Monday from

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is taking part in the UK Club Contests on 
Tuesday. On Wednesday there is a talk by Ian, G4XFC about the Arduino 
microcontroller. The club net is on Thursday from 8pm on 145.325MHz. 
Saturday sees the regular surgery plus G5FZ on the air. For more

Salop Amateur Radio Society Club has its CW net on Wednesday from 
4.30pm on 144.070MHz then its main club net from 8.30pm on GB3LH.

Worksop Amateur Radio Society has a club night on Tuesday, with 
participation in the UKAC. On Wednesday there's a meal out at The 
Lock Keeper. Thursday sees a technical night with construction, CW 
tuition, radio operation and data modes. An Advanced training course

Telford & District Amateur Radio Society is holding its AGM on

NEWS FOR NORTHERN IRELAND

RSGB News Manager Ken Hatton, G3VBA would like to apologise for a – 
quote – "silly mistake" in the 2015 Committee Reports section of 
the April RadCom. He made a reference to Northern Island and the Isle 
of Man that suggested that there were no news readers in either area. 
He meant to say that there were no readers on the Isle of Man and 
apologises to everyone who was offended by the remark. 

On Easter Monday, 28th March, the 2 Metres Counties Contest runs from 
2pm to 4pm local time. The multipliers in this contest are the EI and 
GI counties, while both SSB and FM can be used. There are separate 
sections for portable and fixed stations, low power and high power, 
as well as an FM Only section for single operators and an SWL

always been well supported and you can expect to hear many EI and GI 
counties on the air.


NEWS FOR SCOTLAND

Stirling and District Amateur Radio Society has training,

The SouthWest Cluster is holding further experimental nets on the DMR 
Network, Slot 2, Talk Group 950, from 6pm tonight and next Sunday,

and GB7DR and, when internet connections are established to the 
sites, GB7CW, GB7KT and GB7MJ. The organisers wish to point out that
