NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with a search for a new Deputy Regional Manager for 
Leicester and Rutland, RSGB Region 131. If you have a few hours to 
spare, are willing to work as a team and, preferably, live in this 
area, you are the sort of person we are looking for. Most of the 
duties will be arranged around the time you have to spare. People 
skills will be an advantage. For more information, please contact

Now for news from clubs that have several events this week. Wythall 
Radio Club has its club net from 8pm on 145.225MHz or GB3WL tonight 
and next Sunday. Monday sees the 80m Club Championships SSB from 8pm. 
On Tuesday there's a Morse class plus a club night and free and easy 
evening. The regular nibbles night in the shack is on Friday. Details

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society is operating outdoors 
at Crickley Hill on Monday because the school is closed. Wednesday 
sees a club net, starting at 7.30pm on 145.550MHz. Contact Anne,

South Birmingham Radio Society is closed on Monday. Tuesday see the 
regular coffee morning in the shack from 11am. On Thursday there are 
training classes with Dave Murphy, G8OWL. On Friday there's a session

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Tuesday from 8pm on 
145.375MHz FM and or 7.16MHz ± QRM. Thursday sees an open net from 
8pm on 50.175MHz SSB. On Friday there's a session on simple

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is taking part in the UK Club Contests on 
Tuesday. Wednesday sees shack activities and G5FZ on the air. On 
Thursday there's a club net via GB3LM from 8pm, and on Saturday

Nuneaton & District Amateur Radio Club is taking part in the 2m UKAC 
on Tuesday. The club net is on Thursday from 9.30pm on 145.475MHz. On

Rugby ATS is taking part in the 2m UKAC on Tuesday. Next Saturday

the steam traction rally at Shanes Castle. There will be catering,
