NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with clubs that have several events this week. Central Radio 
Amateur Circle is at the Black Country Radio Rally Mark 2 today. Next

Telford & District Amateur Radio Society is operating portable today 
from Eaton Manor. Wednesday sees backpack portable operations on the

Worksop Amateur Radio Society is taking part in the 1st 144MHz 
Backpackers Contest from 1100 to 1500UTC today. On Tuesday there's 
the UKAC and a club night. Thursday sees a technical night with 
construction plus CW tuition and radio operation. Friday to next

Wythall Radio Club has its net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL from 8pm 
tonight and next Sunday. On Tuesday there's a Morse class from 7.30pm 
plus a Free and Easy evening. The regular nibbles night in the shack

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has its open net from 8pm on 
145.375MHz FM and/or 7.16MHz ± QRM on Monday. On Thursday there's an
