NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with clubs that have several events this week. Wythall Radio 
Club Wythall has its 50th Year Carnival Special Event today, along 
with its club net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL at 8pm today and next 
Sunday. On Tuesday there is a Morse class and club meeting. Friday 
sees the regular nibbles night in the shack. Details from Chris,

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has its open net on Monday from 8pm on 
145.375MHz FM and/or 7.16MHz  QRM. On Thursday there's an open net 
from 8pm on 50.175MHz SSB. Friday sees the third round of the G4ZMC 
Portable Trophy at Newbold On Avon, Parkfield Road. Contact John,

On Monday Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society has a 
meeting on the air because the school is closed. Wednesday sees the 
club net, commencing at 7.30pm on 145.500MHz. Thursday sees another 
net commencing at 7.30pm on 145.550MHz, then deciding what to do and

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is holding a committee meeting on Monday and 
taking part in the 23cm UKCC on Tuesday. Wednesday sees a formal 
meeting and on Thursday there's the club simplex net on 145.375MHz 
from 8pm. Saturday sees shack activities plus G6COL on the air. For

South Birmingham Radio Society is sorting rally stock on Monday. 
Tuesday sees the regular coffee morning in the shack from 11am to 
1pm, and visitors are welcome. Thursday sees training classes with 
Dave Murphy, G8OWL and on Friday there's a session cleaning the 
trailer. Next Sunday sees a club presence at Rugby Radio Rally and

Welland Valley Amateur Radio Society has an operating evening on 
Monday from Prince Rupert's View Point. All day next Sunday is at the

Rugby ATS is taking part in the 1296MHz UKAC on Tuesday, along with 
other radio operation. Saturday sees setting up at Princethorpe, and

Worksop Amateur Radio Society is having a club night on Tuesday and
