NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with clubs that have more than one event this week. Midland
Amateur Radio Society is at the Rugby Radio Rally today. Wednesday
sees the shack on the air and training classes. Details from Norman,

Rugby ATS is at the RATS Rally at Princethorpe today. Tuesday sees
radio operation and participation in the 50MHz UKAC. On Saturday

South Birmingham Radio Society is at the Rugby Radio Rally today.
Tuesday sees the regular coffee morning in the shack from 11am and
Thursday sees training classes with Dave Murphy, G8OWL. On Friday

Wythall Radio Club has its net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL from 8pm today
and next Sunday. On Tuesday there's a Morse class and club meeting.

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has its open net on Monday from 8pm on
145.375MHz FM and/or 7.16MHz ± QRM. On Thursday there's an open net
from 8pm on 50.175MHz SSB. Friday sees a radio workshop and next

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society has a net on Monday
because the school is closed. Wednesday sees the normal club net from
7.30pm, initially on 145.500 then move to 145.550 or nearest clear
channel. On Thursday there's another net from 7.30pm, starting on
145.550MHz then deciding what to do and were to move to. Contact

Coldfield Amateur Radio Society has a club meeting on Monday. Tuesday

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is taking part in the 50MHz UK Club Contest
on Tuesday. On Wednesday there's a Hamfest update and Thursday at 8pm

Nuneaton & District Amateur Radio Club is taking part in the 6m UKAC
