NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with news from clubs that have several events this week.
Worksop Amateur Radio Society continues its Intermediate course
tonight and next Sunday. On Tuesday it's the UK Activity Contest plus
a club night, and on Thursday there's a technical night with
construction, Morse training, radio operation and data modes. Details

Wythall Radio Club has its net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL from 8pm
tonight and next Sunday. The Intermediate course is on Monday and on
Tuesday there's a Morse class and club night. Friday sees the regular

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has its open net on Monday from 8pm on
145.375MHz FM and/or 7.16MHz ± QRM. On Thursday there's an open net

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society has a net on Monday
because the school is closed. Wednesday sees the regular net from
7.30pm, initially on 145.500MHz then moving to 145.550 or the nearest
clear channel. Thursday sees another net starting at 7.30pm on

Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society has a club meeting on Monday.
Tuesday sees a DMR open net from 7.30pm on GB7FW slot/local2. More

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is taking part in the 50MHz UK Club Contest
on Tuesday. Wednesday sees a used equipment sale, and on Thursday
