GB7CIP Change of Static IP address February 2017

February 2017
Sometime during February 2017, GB7CIP is to change ISP (Internet Service
Provider) after 21 years and will have a new static Public Address.

In advance preparation, I suggest that you use the hostname below in
your ax25udp tunnels, telnet, winpac and other applications
configurations that you use to connect to GB7CIP servers via the Public
Internet address..

gb7cip.theskywaves.net

This currently points to 62.49.17.234 (December 2016)
To check:-
e.g. in dos, linux use command
nslookup gb7cip.theskywaves.net

That will point to the current or new Static IP address when I update
the Public Domain Name Server for the above domain.

This 'will hopefully' give you a seamless changeover.
