NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

This broadcast covers the two weeks from 25 December to 8 January. To
keep the bulletin short we have omitted all ‘club closed' notices
and edited some other entries more heavily than usual.

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has its open net on the 26th from 8pm
on 145.375MHz FM and/or 7.16MHz ± QRM. There's a radio workshop on
Friday the 30th and the 6m open net is on Saturday the 6th from 8pm

Wythall Radio Club has its net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL from 8pm on the
25th, 1st and 8th. Tuesday the 27th sees a fox hunt at 10am and club
meeting at 8pm. There's a shack nibbles night on Friday the 30th and
6th. The Christmas contest ends at 8pm on the 1st. On Tuesday the 3rd

RAF Waddington Amateur Radio Club has its Monday net on 145.325MHz

Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society has a club meeting on Monday
the 26th. The 27th sees the DMR open net and on Monday the 2nd

Salop Amateur Radio Society has its club CW net on Tuesday 27th and

South Birmingham Radio Society has a coffee morning in the shack from
11am on Tuesday the 27th, if the House is open, and Tuesday the 3rd.

The first of January sees the beginning of the Worked All GI award,
or WAGI, for Worked All Britain areas in Northern Ireland. There are
