Hi fellow amateur historians,
We all know there is another side to every story and history is written by
the victor, or should know but don't. Well, here is Australia Day from
another point of view, not that of the victor, but that of the vanquished.
Australia Day is celebrated by White Australians, but the indiginous people,
the Aboriginals have another name for it, Invasion Day, a sad day indeed.
Australia, like every other country with foreign invaders has a dark side to
history, the terrible mistreatment, a kind word, of the Aboriginals.
Thankfully it has largely, but not entirely been turned around through
education of both White Australians and Aboriginals. Dark History is a
subject all should learn for the sake of progress. American History as well
of course has a very similar dark side and yes, I'm a student of Dark
History, the more I learn the better a person I become, everyone needs a self
improvement program!

wilderness to the Mafia. All the great things and all the worst,
like Route 22."
