Change of Static IP address 16 February 2017
UPDATE
To all GB7CIP Packet Users, Forwarding Partners
and those that have UDP links to this system.
Change over:
Had occured on the 16 February 2017,
GB7CIP new ISP (Internet Service Provider).
Those that have ipip-encap gateways, should have been automatically
updated via the amprnet portal gateway updates and these links
will reconnect in due course.
Please remember to refresh your encap file/data if not automatic.
In advance preparation, I suggested that you use the hostname below in
your ax25udp tunnels, telnet, winpac and other applications
configurations that you use to connect to GB7CIP servers via the
Public Internet address..
gb7cip.theskywaves.net
PLEASE NOTE THE CORRECT Static IP address
assigned is 82.70.39.222 16 February 2017
To check:-
e.g. in dos, linux use command
nslookup gb7cip.theskywaves.net
That points to the current Static IP address in
the Public Domain Name Server for the above domain.
This 'will hopefully' give you a seamless changeover.
WELL! I still have about 20% of
UDP links not connected - No contact details for these Sysops
BBS Forwarding partners via Internet - contact details failed.
Hopefully my GB7CIP Friendly users are coping with the change.
