Hello Gervais and other interested Parties.

Just for information.

GB7CIP has been using LinFBB for the past 14 years.
LinFBB has been well supported by the xfbb support group
and developers up to this current date. Thanks all!!

Not forgetting my current User base (thank's guys n Gals) that
also provide feedback on their Client software used.

LinFBB Provides I/O access via
IP networking radio, amprnet and Internet
AX25 (radio up and down links VHF/UHF)
NetRom networking
PACTOR 1,2,3 (controlled in hostmode) Data controller
   auto frequency control/ Scanning
   band selection
Aerial and Beam selection and contolling the beam rotator.
Packet 1200bd,9600 VHF/UHF
HF Packet (Controlled in hostnode) Data Controller 300bd Robust 600bd
All controlled via there respective Forward files.

User access using Winpac, Outpost, Sally, PaKet62 and other clients
gb7cip Users are also using Mozilla Thunderbird to access the
SP (email) Bulletins(Newgroups) as part of the experiment at gb7cip.

Moved away from MSDOS systems back in 1994.

I agree, took many hours to get to grip with all the above over the years.

Though straight forward to set-up for a simple system. INSTALL and README
Files

After all it is a hobby of learning and experimenting and gaining
knowledge.

With experience 'support' of those willing to pass
on their knowledge to assist new comers.

Hope that helps your decision making
