NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with clubs that have several events this week. Burton 
Amateur Radio Club has its net today and next Sunday from 10am around 
145.575MHz. On Wednesday there's a club night, and Thursday sees a

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Monday from 8pm on 
145.375MHz FM and or 7.16MHz SSB ± QRM. On Thursday there's an open 
net from 8pm on 50.175MHz SSB. On Friday the usual meeting is

On Monday Leicester Radio Society has a talk by John, M0CQV on his 
life with the Archers. Thursday sees the last night of the Foundation

NEWS FOR THE NORTH OF ENGLAND

We start with an announcement from Angel of the North Amateur Radio 
Club that it is now in partnership with Tyneside Amateur Radio 
Society. The club meets every Monday from 7pm except Bank Holidays. 
Club activities include Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced 
training, special event stations, talks and demonstrations. The club 
also runs repeaters. On Monday Angel of the North Amateur Radio Club

We start with an announcement by Darenth Valley RS that they will run 
a Foundation course on the 10th and 17th of June. The cost of the 
course will be GBP 60, including the exam fee. Candidates wishing to 
enrol on the course must do so by the 28th of May. More details are

NEWS FOR THE SOUTH WEST

We start with an announcement from Torbay amateur radio club of a 
Foundation course, which will run over the weekend of the 12th to the 
14th of May. The cost is expected not to exceed GBP 60, including 
venue hire and the cost of the exam. Candidates will need to provide 
themselves with a copy of Foundation Licence Now!, available from the
