NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. 
Coventry Amateur Radio Society is operating GB6CGC or GB4YAD today 
for the Youth Aviation Day at the Gliding Centre Husbands Bosworth 
LE17 6JJ. The club net is on Monday from 8pm on 145.375MHz and/or 
7.16MHz plus or minus QRM. Friday sees the start of the club Castles

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is visiting the Spalding rally today. On 
Tuesday it's the UKAC, and Wednesday sees shack activities and G5FZ 
on the air. The club net is on Thursday from 8pm on 145.325MHz.

Spalding & District Amateur Radio Society has its annual rally today 
at Gleed School, Spalding PE11 2EF. Thursday and Friday see GB4OO on 
the air for the activity month celebrating the club's 50th

Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society has its 6m open net on 
50.135MHz from 8.30pm tonight and next Sunday. Monday sees a club 
meeting. On Tuesday there's an open net on 70.475MHz FM from 7.30pm.

Wythall Radio Club is taking part HF CW Field Day today, followed by 
the club net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL at 8pm. The Intermediate course 
continues on Monday. Tuesday sees a Morse class from 7.45 and a 
committee meeting. The regular nibbles night is in the shack from 
7.30pm on Friday. Practicals for the Intermediate are on Saturday 
from 9am. Next Sunday there's an 8sm trip to the J28 QRP Rally plus 
the RSGB Backpackers contest from 10am and the club net on 145.225MHz

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society is having an operating 
night on Monday. The club net is on Wednesday from 7.30pm on

on 145.325MHz. Next weekend sees the Museums on the Air special event
