NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with clubs that have several events this week. Cheltenham 
Amateur Radio Association has a net from 8.30am today and next Sunday 
on 50.220MHz USB. On Tuesday there's a lunch meeting and then, from 
8pm, the slow CW net around 3540-3550kHz. Thursday sees a talk on the 
Suriname DXpedition by Derek, G4BVY. Contact Derek, G3NKS, on

Wythall Radio Club has its regular net at 8pm today and next Sunday 
on 145.225MHz or GB3WL. On Tuesday there's a Morse class then a talk. 
The regular nibbles night in the shack is on Friday from 7.30pm.

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Monday from 8pm on 
145.375MHz FM and / or 7.16MHz SSB ± QRM. Thursday sees an open net 
from 8pm on 50.175MHz SSB. On Friday there's a net on 145.375MHz

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society is having a talk on 
overhead power lines on Monday by ‘Mac' MacDonald. The main club 
nets are on Wednesday from 7.30pm on 145.475MHz FM and 432.220MHz 
USB. On Thursday there's a net on 145.475MHz from 7.30pm, often then 
moving to 80m SSB. Friday sees a net from 7.30pm on 432.220MHz USB.

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is holding a committee meeting on Monday and
