NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with clubs that have several events this week. Wythall Radio 
Club has its regular net at 8pm today and next Sunday on 145.225MHz 
or GB3WL. On Tuesday there's a Morse class then a free ‘n' easy

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Monday from 8pm on 
145.375MHz FM and / or 7.16MHz SSB ± QRM. Thursday sees an open net

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society is having a talk on 
batteries by Vernon Morris, GOHTO on Monday. The main club net is on 
Wednesday from 7.30pm on 145.475MHz FM. On Thursday there's a net on 
145.475MHz from 7.30pm, often then moving to 80m SSB. Friday sees a 
net from 7.30pm on 432.220MHz USB. Next Sunday sees a net on

Leicester Radio Society is holding an informal meeting and tidy up on

NEWS FOR THE NORTH OF ENGLAND

holding a Foundation course weekend on the 28th and 29th of October.

NEWS FOR NORTHERN IRELAND

There is a possibility that due to a combination of readers' 
holidays, work commitments and the need for urgent antenna work at 
the QTH of MI1AIB, there may unfortunately be no DMR readings of 
GB2RS for Region 8 on some Sundays during October and possibly early 
November. 

The Region 8 GB2RS News Team is also appealing for new readers. 
Volunteers need to be a Full licensee and a Member of the RSGB. For 
DMR you will also need to be able to access one of the TG8 / S2 
enabled repeaters, currently GB7LY, GB7UL, GB7HB or GB3OM. For more
