Hello Ian;
You'd be best off going straight X1J-4 if this is what you're looking to do.
If memory recalls from the old NEDA days, there's ram leaks in TheNet. Also
you can route IP via RF easier using X1J-4 vs TheNet as it has an IP router
built in. For parameter settings if you wish, view the NEDA Annual PDF that
I have on my website. You can find it at:
https://n1uro.ampr.org/neda/neda_annual_v005_1994.pdf
It will take it a bit to download as it's quite large in size but the info in
it is priceless and still quite valid in today's RF world! The X1J-4 suggested
settings are the last few pages. Well worth the wait of the download!
