NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. 
Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society has its 6m open net on 
50.135MHz from 8.30pm tonight and next Sunday. Monday sees an open 
net on 145.250MHz from 7.30pm. More information from Robert Bird, by

Wythall Radio Club has a trip to Reading Rally today, plus the RSGB 
80m/40m Low Power CW contest from 9am and the net at 8pm on 
145.225MHz or GB3WL. Tuesday sees a Morse class, then the regular 
nibbles night is in the shack from 7.30pm on Friday. Next Saturday 
and Sunday it's the RSGB IOTA contest, plus the club net at 8pm on

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has its club net on Monday from 8pm on 
145.375MHz and/or 7.16MHz ±QRM. On Friday there's a video night.

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society is running a club net 
on Monday on 145.550MHz because the school meeting room is closed.

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is holding a committee meeting on Monday and 
taking part in the UK Club Contest on Tuesday. Wednesday sees a 
formal meeting. The club net is on Thursday on 145.325MHz from 8pm. 
Next Saturday sees G5FZ on the air, shack activities, the usual 
brunch, and GB2CWP active at East Kirkby. For more information

South Birmingham Radio Society is making plans for the Telford rally 
on Monday. The regular coffee morning in the shack is from 11am on
