NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS
We start with news from clubs that have several events this week.
Burton Amateur Radio Club has an open net on 145.575MHz today and
next Sunday at 10am, and also on Thursday at 8pm. Wednesday sees

Cheltenham Amateur Radio Association has its net today and next
Sunday at 8.30am on 50.220MHz SSB. On Tuesday they host a club lunch,

Thursday sees a talk on Unreal Radio by Tim, G4VXE, and next Saturday

NEWS FOR THE SOUTH WEST

Weston Super Mare Radio Society is holding its Annual Rally today at
the Campus Community Centre in Worle near Junction 21 of the M5.
There are 55 tables with many of the well-known traders in
attendance. It is open from 10am until 3pm; tickets are GBP 3.00, and
under 16's are free. On Monday the society will conduct a post-rally

South Bristol Amateur Radio Club holds an Autumn Table-Top Sale this
Thursday. Trading starts at 8pm prompt. Next Saturday and Sunday they

North Bristol Amateur Radio Club has a relax & chat evening this
Friday, including operating and preparation for Railways on the Air.
Next Saturday and Sunday, as part of ROTA, the club will be operating
next to the station building at Avon Valley Railway. They also have
permission to work ‘Railway Mobile' from live rolling stock, so may
have a second station signing /M. They will be using the callsign
GB0AVR for Avon Valley Railway. The event coincides with Avon
Valley's 1940s weekend, so lots of people will be in period costume,
