NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. 
Burton Amateur Radio Club has an open net on 145.575MHz today and 
next Sunday at 10am, and also on Thursday at 8pm. Wednesday sees

Cheltenham Amateur Radio Association has its net today and next 
Sunday at 8.30am on 50.220MHz SSB. On Tuesday there's a slow CW

NEWS FOR THE SOUTH WEST

We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. 
Today North Bristol Amateur Radio Club, as part of Railways on the 
Air weekend, will be operating next to the station building at Avon 
Valley Railway. They also have permission to work ‘Railway Mobile' 
from live rolling stock, so may have a second station signing /M. 
They will be using the callsign GB0AVR for Avon Valley Railway. The 
event coincides with Avon Valley's 1940s weekend, so lots of people 
will be in period costume, with vintage vehicles, both civilian and
