Next, the Local News for Sunday 23rd December 2018

Please note that details of all RSGB-affiliated clubs and societies
can be found on the RSGB website, including email addresses and
website links where known.

[Note to Newsreaders: Please read the local news items appropriate to
the service area of your transmission.

You will recall that we recently asked for feedback on how to handle
news over the Christmas break. There was no clear consensus so we
have prepared Local News for this week as usual, with most regions
also having the second week's news as a separate section (reproduced
in blue to avoid confusion).

It's up to you whether you choose to run a ‘net-with-news' on 30
December under your own callsign (NOT as GB2RS).

If so, you may like to establish communication with one other station
and then read local news information to them.

You are not technically broadcasting because your transmission is
directed to one person, though if others happen to be listening as
part of the net, that's fine. As you'll be operating under your own
callsign you may of course ad-lib as required; there's no need to use
GB2RS ‘tops and tails'.]
