Hello all,
Here is the actual status of YT7MPB-8 pactor port:
- The system does *not* work 24/7 but rather occasionally in the
afternoons and evenings (say after 1300 UTC, up to 1900 UTC, but may
happen not every day - depending on HF radio + antenna availability in
RC Novi Sad).
- So, during the daylight, the system listens on 20m, mostly on 14108.90
USB SCS DIAL for fwd to GB7CIP (usually) and IK0MIL (extremely rarely);
also from time to time manual QSY to 14091.90 for fwd to F3KT
(frequently); and very rarely manual QSY to 14115.00 for searching
signals of IR2UFV (nothing heard yet). Antenna for 20m is beam directed
to cca 300 degrees (W-NW).
- After becoming dark in the local area (say after 1500-1530 UTC), the
system is manually QSY to 40m band, mostly to 7049.90 USB SCS DIAL for
planned fwd to GB7CIP (not yet), and 7044.00 for fwd to UT1HZM and RC8SB
(both frequently). Two other frequencies are also manually checked from
time to time, 7048.40 and 7046.40, but almost unusable because of
prevalent wobbly non-pactor modes and various QRN. Antenna for 40m is a
horizontal dipole, oriented approximately to NE (Russia, Ukraine) and SW
(North Africa, Latin America).
New pactor contacts are welcomed!
That's all for now folks!
