WX4QZ:
GE to all on the net.
Bob is off tonight enjoying Valentine's Day with
his lady friend. He may have to do the net for me
next week, due to thunderstorm potential...but it's
too far out to know for sure.
We're supposed to have severe storms here Wednesday
into Thursday...we need the rain, for the high fire
danger and burn bans, but can do without the tornado
threat.
I heard a deal from the pastor of my new church
home yesterday, that I got a kick out of. For those
of you dealing with baldness, here are some words of
encouragement.
"God doesn't put marble countertops on useless furniture";
and "God made only so many perfect heads...the rest, He
covered with hair" (hi hi).
I was supposed to get info on a local ham radio group
via email, but never got a reply. I don't know when my
local group will start testing again, with all the
Covid-19 mess. I had to miss a hamfest this past
Saturday, and pay $65 to get my car fluids checked
and changed.

N3FWE:
Good evening all,
Not much going on here.
Some lag.
I received an envelope from the bureau. No new
countries :( but did receive 2 SWL reports. I
need to get another envelope ready to send out
to the bureau.
Anyone else have issues with the CQ Prefix Award?
I been waiting almost 8 months for my WPX Award.
Some emails go unanswered but hearing different
excuses for the delays.
I like to go outside at night if it's clear, and
look for the ISS if it passes over. I saw for the
first time Tiangong (China Space Station) fly over
last week. I may have to see what other satellites
I can see. I'm near the city so I do get plenty
of light pollution. I may have to take a trip over
the mountain when it warms up and give it a try.

VA7RBP:
Good evening Daryl and all on the net.
Another slow week...nothing super exciting to report.
Our temps have been in the high 20s to mid 30s, and
we have had a few sunny days that have really helped
to melt the snow.
We have some more snow coming down right now, but so
far, it's not sticking. We will see what it looks
like in the morning.
Did some playing on the radio, except when the RTTY
stuff was happening.
Worked on my Raspberry Pi SVXLINK radio voice mail
project.
Drove to Nelson yesterday for a nice visit with our
daughter and her family, and got our grankid fix...
Today, I just took a bunch of pop can to the recycle
depot, trying to keep the back deck mess under control.
This week, we are preparing for a trip to the coast
at the beginning of March for our oldest Granddaughter's
19th birthday. Have to book hotels and make sure we have
a place to stay while we're down there.
I've been hearing about HAM conventions, but not ready
to do any travelling yet, way too complicated and
expensive right now.
If I don't dream up projects to work on, my wife will
put me to work doing painting and repair jobs...

NT5R:
GE everyone
Similar here with snow, mostly melted except piles and
shaded areas. 65 f 18.5 C today so melting quickly
Rick you a busy fellow, that's great! You always have
projects going. No time for you to get bored!
Third year in a row going to TRY for Xenia again this
year. Never been, and on my bucket list.

Replies from WX4QZ:
Steve, sorry about the lag. I saw we lost you for a
bit earlier, but glad you made it back. As for the
CQ Prefix Award, never heard of it...maybe others
will have some info.
FB on seeing the ISS...light pollution is a drag.
Be sure you have plenty of postage to send out...
the price of first class postage is ridiculous.
Rick, we still have some clumps of snow in the
shaded areas of parking lots...the heavy rain
we get here this week should wash it away.
RTTY is a real popular mode, especially with the
2 contests each year.
FB on the RPi SVXLINK -- I'll be doing the Hotspot,
RPi, SBC, and ZumSpot Net on the QuadNet Array
later this evening.
FB on the trip to see the granddaughter...good luck
on getting a hotel room.
I heard Hamcation in Orlando was a big success, but
I agree...it's too expensive and complicated to
travel right now.
Yeah, you can't neglect those honey-do's!!
Charley, it looks like you'll get some snow from the
midweek system that'll bring us severe weather. It
was 70 here today, and will be again tomorrow.
GL with Xenia...I can't travel anymore, due to health
and finances.
