NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS
We start with news from clubs that have several events this week.
Wythall Radio Club has its club net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL tonight
and next Sunday. On Monday there's a curry night and Tuesday sees a
Morse class and the results of the Christmas contest with Lee, G0MTN.
The regular nibbles night in the shack is on Friday from 7.30pm.

South Birmingham Radio Society is having a ragchew and putting the
shack on the air on Monday. The regular coffee morning in the shack

On Monday Sutton Coldfield Amateur Radio Society is holding club

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is taking part in the UK Club Contests on

NEWS FOR THE SOUTH WEST
The team that runs the Bath Based Distance Learning course also runs
local classroom courses. The next classroom Advanced course starts on
Wednesday 3rd of February and will run 7-9pm every Wednesday up to
the exam on Tuesday 5th of July. The course will cost GBP 87.50
including the textbook, room hire and exam. These courses are
sponsored by the City of Bristol RSGB Group to keep the costs as low

Today and next Sunday the SouthWest Cluster is holding an
experimental net on the DMR Network, Slot 2, Talk Group 950, from
6pm, operating simultaneously on GB7AA, GB7BS, GB7FI, GB7TC, GB7JB,
GB7SD and GB7DR and, when internet connections are established to the
sites, GB7CW, GB7KT and GB7MJ . The organisers wish to note that the
SouthWest Cluster network is independent of the DMR-marc network.
