NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with news from clubs that have several events this week. 
Wythall Radio Club has its club net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL tonight. 
On Monday there's the 80m Club Championships from 8pm. Tuesday sees a 
Morse class plus a free ‘n' easy evening and the 144MHz UKAC 
contest. The regular nibbles night in the shack is on Friday from 
7.30pm. Next Sunday sees the club net on 145.225MHz or GB3WL plus the 
RSGB 432MHz Affiliated Societies AFS contest. Details from Chris,

Worksop Amateur Radio Society continues its Advanced course tonight 
and next Sunday. There's a club night on Tuesday plus the UKACs. On 
Thursday there's talk on repeaters. Next Sunday sees a Young Persons'

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Monday from 8pm on 
145.375MHz and/or 7.16MHz ± QRM. On Friday there's a construction

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society is having a talk on 
restoring an HRO receiver on Monday by Steve Richards, G4HFT. 
Wednesday and Thursday both see a club net starting at 7.30pm on

South Birmingham Radio Society is working in the shack on Monday. The 
regular coffee morning in the shack is on Tuesday from 11am. Thursday

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is taking part in the UK Club Contests on

The SouthWest Cluster is holding further experimental nets on the DMR 
Network, Slot 2, Talk Group 950, from 6pm tonight and next Sunday

and GB7DR and, when internet connections are established to the 
sites, GB7CW, GB7KT and GB7MJ. The organisers wish to point out that
