KX4AC Carl : GE All,
KX4AC Carl : We had a pretty good weekend here. At one point it was supposed to rain, but
KX4AC Carl : it turned out quite nice and I was able to go for a couple of nice walks.
KX4AC Carl : I have been listening to the radio here the last couple of nights; there is
KX4AC Carl : a local ham station that reports anytime there is a launch at the cape. I like
KX4AC Carl : listening in.
KX4AC Carl :
KX4AC Carl : I spent some of the weekend working on my scripts that create automated
KX4AC Carl : bulletins for the local BBS. Weather and launch schedules mostly. I think
KX4AC Carl : I have them working pretty good now.
KX4AC Carl :
KX4AC Carl : I guess that's about all for now. I do need to get back to trying to get
KX4AC Carl : the Ft100D permanently mounted in the car. The car is about the best HF
KX4AC Carl : antenna I have.
KX4AC Carl :
KX4AC Carl : That's what's up here. Back to net >>>
K0WAV Scott : GE Bob and the net! week was pretty calm here. good enough weather to get some spring yard work in.
K0WAV Scott : This past Sat I was at the Mt. Vernon, MO Ozark Amateur Radio Society hamfest. Met up with Charely NT5R
K0WAV Scott : for a good eyeball QSO. There were some good buys there, but nothing that I was looking for. and I didn't when either
K0WAV Scott : of the door prizes (FT-891 runner up, and grand prize FT-991A).
K0WAV Scott : got back to qth in afternoon got snatched by the chair monster and had a good nap LOL.
K0WAV Scott : by the time I got around to playing radio it was only a few hours before the big Geomagnetic storm hit.
K0WAV Scott : at one point they were reporting S20+ noise, Servere Storm, and the K index was 8! so nothing doing on Sunday.
K0WAV Scott : This are look much better this evening.
K0WAV Scott : Today we had rain. 1.75" so far with more on the way... Looks like lightning down by Daryl so probably why is is

K0WAV Scott : BTU >>>
VA7RBP Rick : God evening Bob and all on NET.
VA7RBP Rick : Good...fingers not cooperating...
VA7RBP Rick : I had my knee surgery on Mar13, stitches come out this Thursday.
VA7RBP Rick : Healing is in progress. I can walk on it. Been going to the GYM since last Thursday to
VA7RBP Rick : exercise the legs, to keep the muscles from atrophying. Still lots of pain and
VA7RBP Rick : swelling. Doc says that will be on-going for a month or so.
VA7RBP Rick : Weather here is starting to become Spring-like, temps between 35 and 50F,
VA7RBP Rick : but we had one day last week where it got up to 72F, need more of those.
VA7RBP Rick : I've spent most of my time over the past two week mucking about with JNOS and XROUTER.
VA7RBP Rick : More of an intelectual exercise than actually goiong to do anything with them.
VA7RBP Rick : going...finger trouble again...
VA7RBP Rick : I ordered and just received a TEENSY based Robust Packet TNC from Germany.
VA7RBP Rick : I'm in the process of building a radio adapter cable for it.
VA7RBP Rick : I need a print server, so just befor the net, I installed a new OS on a spare Pi version 1
VA7RBP Rick : and I'm going to try and see if it will do the job.
VA7RBP Rick : And that's about it for me, so BTU Bob >>>
VA7RBP Rick :
KF5TVG Bob : GE All on the net tonight!
KF5TVG Bob :
KF5TVG Bob : Have been tinkering with a new to me microcontroller. It's a M5Stack core 2, which
KF5TVG Bob : has an ESP32 micro, a nice form factor with a built in display and sever sensors.
KF5TVG Bob : Lots of additional modules that "stack" together. Looking at it as a controller for
KF5TVG Bob : a new satellite tracker, as well as an option for some other project updates, such
KF5TVG Bob : as a wspr box that was in a qex article in the summer of 2020.
KF5TVG Bob :
KF5TVG Bob : Finally got my RPi5 this week in the mail. Was ordered in September from Sparkfun.
KF5TVG Bob : Don't have anything in mind for it, so wasn't too upset it took so long for Sparkfun
KF5TVG Bob : to get it shipped.
KF5TVG Bob :
KF5TVG Bob : Not much radio activity to talk about this week, other than a 15m ft8 contact wiht
KF5TVG Bob : pj5/sp9fih just now on St. Eustatius!
KF5TVG Bob :
KF5TVG Bob : That's all for now. BTU Bob>>>
