NEWS FOR THE MIDLANDS

We start with news that Leicestershire Repeater Group is conducting a 
survey to see whether to implement one of the digital FM systems on 
either GB3CF or GB3LE. The survey is available online at 
www.leicestershirerepeatergroup.org.uk and as many people in the 
local area as possible are invited to air their views. 

Now for news from clubs that have several events this week. Worksop 
Amateur Radio Society has a Young Persons' Foundation course plus an 
Advanced course tonight and next Sunday. There's a club night on 
Tuesday. Thursday sees a technical night with construction, CW

Wythall Radio Club is taking part in the RSGB 432MHz Affiliated 
Societies AFS contest this afternoon, and has its club net on 
145.225MHz or GB3WL tonight and next Sunday. Tuesday sees a Morse 
class plus a committee meeting and the 80m Club Championships Data 
leg. The regular nibbles night in the shack is on Friday from 7.30pm.

Coventry Amateur Radio Society has an open net on Monday from 8pm on 
145.375MHz and/or 7.16MHz ± QRM. On Friday there's a 2m net instead

South Birmingham Radio Society has a committee meeting on Monday. The 
regular coffee morning in the shack is on Tuesday from 11am. Thursday

Lincoln Short-Wave Club is taking part in the UK Club Contests on

Gloucester Amateur Radio & Electronics Society is having a club net
