I've had the 1.2 gig module on my eBay watch list for a couple of years.
When they DO show up (not often), the asking price is usually way out of my

Norm,
You sent an email to a group, the "peanut gallery" if you will. You got a
response from the group. You're absolutely correct, what more did you
expect? Have you contacted elected officials directly? This seems like the
logical thing to do if you didn't want a response from anyone else. Also,
maybe next time you'll consider leaving out past qualifications followed by
what can be considered as threats if you don't want a reaction out of the
community.
Furthermore, have you even considered that it might have simply been lost in
the mail, I've heard this happens with QSLs too. I got my ballot but also
got someone's mail a couple days ago as well, things getting lost in transit
is not that far fetched.

The 435.350 MHz FM downoink on PSAT PSK31 is often on, though someone needs
to be transmitting on 28.121 MHz with PSK31 in order for the transponder to
come up. But that is the terrestrrial PSK31 frequency so really all it
needs is ANYONE to be on 10m PSK31 and it will be up.

At the risk of inviting plenty of negative comments, but for the sake of
experimentaion, I wonder if someone mkght want to try to make some CW
contacts on the PSAT PSK31 HF transponder.
THe problem is if there is other 10m PSK31 activity, the terrestrial users
would not like to see CW in the PSK31 band. But if no one else was on, it
wouldnt bother me if someone wanted to experiment with CW via the PSAT
uplink.
But if there is no one on PSK31, then the transponder wont come up... SO
eitehr one of the experimenters needs to key down a PSK31 signal so others
could send the CW. Or one person could try keying CW using their PSK31
carrier and then key that so that the 31Hz auto-key-up would bring the
transponder up.
I hate to admit that I don't listen enough to know if this is a dumb idea
or not.

It is a raspberry Pi, that is connected to the APRS-IS and will eventually
also take in user reports as well from a form
If a satellite only APRS-IS comes about then the data will come from there ?
It is on my static ip http://59.167.159.165/
It is called ?Satellite Reporter?
It is intended to provide a dashboard, stats in graphical format and also
data streams.
Please let me know if you want any features added as this project grows.
I see a user input screen and drop downs for satellites.
I will make an iPhone and Samsung compatible version.
The back end is MySQL and PERL and CGI

Bit confused by your comment, I can assure you the AMSAT Status page is
populated by hams it's not automated.

I wondered about this Bob, several times, but thought someone would get
mad if I tried it.
But I do not see why it would not work.
I actually do not see why any mode that is listened to using USB would
not work.
I may try it out in the next few days.
If it wasn't for the Doppler problem,, I'd even try the FT8, but dont
see any way to keep the freq dead motionless on that one.
