Hi Dave,

We will monitor and feed back for sure, but in a nutshell working as good as
the local repeaters, superb and congratulations to ARISS for such a good
achievement.

I live in Titusville, NJ (FN20nh) about 45 minutes from the Delaware state
line.

I was active with LEO satellites in 2015-16 and enjoyed the work.

I am mostly active on EME now but could get geared up if Delaware is really
needed on satellites.

It might be a haul for you from Titusville, but when you get there look for
a dirt road to your right just before you get to the Fort Mott State Park.
You want to then drive out to Finn's Point. That will put you in Delaware
on the New Jersey side...

About ARISS:

?

Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) is a cooperative
venture of international amateur radio societies and the space agencies that
support the International Space Station (ISS).? In the United States,
sponsors are the Radio Amateur Satellite Corporation (AMSAT), the American
Radio Relay League (ARRL), the ISS National Lab and National Aeronautics and
Space Administration (NASA). The primary goal of ARISS is to promote
exploration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEAM)
topics by organizing scheduled contacts via amateur radio between crew
members aboard the ISS and students in classrooms or public forms. Before
and during these radio contacts, students, educators, parents, and
communities learn about space, space technologies, and amateur radio. For

Your concern is widely shared within AMSAT, and a lot of work is being done
to try to open things up as much as we we possibly can without attracting
attention from lawyers and bureaucrats.

I suspect that if you work with the article authors and/or AMSAT Engineering
you will be able to get information released under favorable license terms.
In my experience, Fox contributors would like to see the fruits of their
efforts used as widely as possible.

What does this have to do with the conversation? We?re talking about DE not
grids, and what your saying, goes without saying?

I suggest you take a GPS RCVR and set it to grid squares. But of course you
probably know that. ?

It might be a haul for you from Titusville, but when you get there look for
a dirt road to your right just before you get to the Fort Mott State Park.
You want to then drive out to Finn's Point. That will put you in Delaware
on the New Jersey side...

I live in Titusville, NJ (FN20nh) about 45 minutes from the Delaware state
line.

I was active with LEO satellites in 2015-16 and enjoyed the work.

I am mostly active on EME now but could get geared up if Delaware is really
needed on satellites.

What most people don't know is there is a small piece of Delaware on
the New Jersey side. I used to drive there from my home that's near
Philly in NJ to give out DE. So maybe someone in Central NJ can also
 put DE on the air....

Several are asking about a Delaware contact. DE has always been rare
on satellites. It was one of the last I needed for WAS more than a
 decade ago.

The most recent op that I am aware of was WA3X. He has no email in
qrz and hasn't uploaded to LOTW in about a year.

N8HM operated from there as W3ZM/3 in October 2019. Maybe Paul could
be persuaded to take the train up there and satisfy the demand for

Delaware?
