ITF-2 downlink data format is announced.

ITF-2 is a 1U cubesat designed and built by Univesity of Tsukuba, Japan,

Hi!
I don't normally write about an event I plan on attending where I
represent AMSAT so far in advance, but I'm making an exception for
this event. Even though it has been mentioned in recent AMSAT News
Service bulletins, and listed on the AMSAT web site, there has been
an attempt at misinformation on a web forum about this. To clear
the air...
AMSAT will be at the Palm Springs Hamfest in southern California on
Saturday, 4 February 2017.
Thanks to Rick Fearns and the Palm Springs Hamfest committee, AMSAT
will have a booth at the hamfest. Along with a change in date (this
had been held in mid-March for the past couple of years), the location
has moved to the Palm Springs Air Museum along Gene Autry Trail, south
of I-10 and near the Palm Springs Airport. More information about the
hamfest is available at:

I have been in contact with the hamfest committee, trying to get AMSAT
listed on the hamfest's web site. Hopefully that will be rectified
shortly. In any event, AMSAT will be present at this hamfest, which
should draw hams from around southern California, as well as from
Arizona and possibly southern Nevada. I will be there, and I am looking
forward to making the trip out there.

close to the Lacandona jungle in the state of Chiapas, I will have free
afternoons all weekend, I will be able to work from EK37 and EK47, trust in
finding the line, try Work on other grids, work on FM and SSB satellites,
SO-50, AO-85, XW-2A, XW-2B, XW-2C, AO-73 and FO-29. Passes above 20 ? for
my area, for now I can not give working hours on the satellites, if I have
a signal in the mobile I will be on Twitter @xxxxxx as always give priority
to the stations using the phonetic code. I hope to hear them in the bird.

I saw this video on the planned 5/10GHz planned launch with the geo payload
through Virginia Tech.

I couldn't find much other details other than the video. Does anybody else
here know the status on this satellite? I'm a student at New Mexico Tech,
and would like to try to get something setup through our radio club as soon
as this satellite is launched, so if this thing is for sure going to
happen, I would like to start the search for equipment and have something
going when this satellite is ready to be launched.

The space payload for AMSAT Phase 4 is being developed at Virginia Tech.
Working in parallel, AMSAT volunteers are developing a ground station
package. The team produces video update reports on YouTube.

Recently, the old VHF Ericsson handheld used for the digipeater on the ISS
died and it was replaced with an equivalent UHF one. This is my first time
digipeating through it.
I also tried to make my first APRS satellite contact. I successfully sent a
message to the digipeater for another ham, KM4SYN, but he didn't receive it
from the ISS. He did however receive one of my beacon packets and you can
see me on his map.
The "Programming TH-D72 for ISS Digipeater" video will be uploaded next
week.
I made this recording on November 2nd, 2016, shortly after the UHF
digipeater was activated.
