Greetings all and happy Easter
Short note for all Dstar users that we have a node
running in Townsville and has been on test for the
past 4 months and working well.
The setup is using a Simoco SR9000 radio in C4FM
mode coupled to a GMSK modem and using a Raspberry
Pi for all encode and decode to the Gateway.
The unit currently sits on reflector XRF005 24/7
but can be shifted by users to any available reflector
of each users choosing.
The range at present varies between 9 and 15 klms
depending on the direction you are heading and the
Townsville Amateur Radio Club plan to have a full blown
D Star repeater in place on their mountain top site in
the next few months.This is currently under construction
and awaiting license approveal from the W.I.A
