Hi all guys in the net.
I'm making a special project in audio using tubes (valves). This project is
for own (personal) use only, not for commercial porpouses.
As compactron tubes are cheap, and they have special properties (like a
12AU7 plus a 1/2 12AX7 in the same bulb, and having heater current drawing
as the 12AU7 `per se', (only .6A @.3V for 3 triodes vs .6A for 12A?7 with
two triodes at the same heater voltage), and also there is a boy in
internet who has lots of them.
I had brought some of them via paypal and ebay, but since 6 jan 2014 I
still have not the tubes in my hands: surely, they had been lost in the
Argentina's Aduana or Post, or who knows where. I had no espectancies
anytime they will do, and if they came to me, surely they will be useless
(broken, or destroyed).
If some of you is coming to Argentina soon, from any country, and want to
help me and my project carriying the tubes (8 compactron tubes are about a
package of 10cm per side (4 inches) and weight about 200 grams only), please
send me an email to any of the web adrresses below, or send me a repply to
this mail. I can talk about paying the cost of carriying the tubes.
Also, if anybody has another idea to have te tubes at hand securely, please
tell me how.
