The N1URO system currently has a 2-mtr user interface on 145.01 that links
into the southern New England region of the American Red Cross.
I also have a backbone link radio on 223Mhz to W1EDH and one on 430Mhz@9600
baud destined to our ARRL SM. N1URO also provides a link into the W1SP CT
State Police system, which has many TheNet nodes linked state wide via a
high speed 900Mhz backbone.
W1EDH is running a 2-mtr user interface on 145.09 and links into me on 223Mhz
and to K1YON on 430Mhz. K1YON has a user interface on 145.07Mhz with a 430
link to W1EDH and another @9600 baud to K2PUT.
The above, with the exception of the W1SP system all run the FlexNet
protocol and network using point to point links for a cleaner network
and the fastest possible throughput by eliminating the additional protocol
overhead that NetRom presents. Most sites are using 6-pack eproms with my
own site experimenting again with (linu)Xnet and SMACK eproms as it's a given
that compressed mail forwarding has a tendancy to take standard factory
eproms out of KISS mode as part of the reasoning why we don't use it in
EastNet.
