B. Proton Events: The greater than 10 MeV proton flux decreased to
S1 levels in the middle of the period from S2 conditions. The peak
flux was 191 pfu at 23/0015 UTC.
C. Geomagnetic Activity Summary: Geomagnetic field activity began
the period at Strong (G3) storm conditions and increased to an
isolated period of Severe (G4) between 23/0300-23/0600 UTC. As the
CME continued to pass, storm levels decreased to minor and moderate
conditions for a few periods, before decreasing further to activity
below storm levels (less than G1).
