Subject: //WL2K User Notice
Urgent firmware upgrade notice for SCS Dragon TNC/MODEM users.
Recently a problem has been identified with the P4 driver in the SCS Dragon
line of TNC/MODEM's. SCS has released an update firmware for this line of
TNC/MODEM's. This problem affects Pactor 4 users only. If your license or
affiliation with MARS/SHARES permits the use of Pactor 4 you should download
and install the firmware update as soon as you can. Other users are strongly
encouraged to update the firmware also.
Using a web browser the firmware update may be found at:
http://nb7o.ddns.net:83/files2share/dragon_fw_2_30_90.zip
Or by connecting to http://nb7o.ddns.net:83 and finding a link in the menu
on the left.
If you use Pactor 4 on an SCS Dragon TNC/MODEM please update your firmware
as soon as possible.
We apologize to the offshore community but the filesize is too large to send
over HF. Hopefully if you have a Dragon TNC/MODEM you will be able download
the file as soon as you arrive in your next port.
If you have a problem please contact Kevin at his Winlink email account.
