Information for the Customers who Operate the FT-450D
in the UK Thank you very much for purchasing the YAESU FT-450D.
Please be informed that the TX frequency range of the FT-450D
transceiver is 1.8 MHz - 52 MHz (amateur bands only) but does
not include 5 MHz (60 m) band. If you would like to operate this
radio in 5 MHz (60 m) band, please follow the procedure below
before using the transceiver for the first time.
1. Turn the transceiver OFE
2. Press and hold in the [A/BI button while turning the
transceiver ON. Setting Number "3" will appear in the display.
3. Rotate the [MAIN DIAL] knob and select the Setting Number "4".
4. Press and hold in the [MODEAI button to store the Setting
Number "4" and the radio re-starts
Setting for 5 MHz (60 m) band is successfully completed.
Caution:
NOTE: By adding 5 MHz (60 m) band as the operable frequencies according
to the procedures above, all saved data such as Menu and Memory settings
will be deleted. If you need to add 5 MHz (60 m) band after using the radio,
make sure to back up your registered data or write it down before you
execute this setting change.
NOTE: 5 MHz (60 m) band setting is NOT disabled even after executing the
"Full Reset" to restore the transceiver to the factoty defaults according
to Page 18 of operation manual.
