Well, most of the local hams are not young (65+) and they never used
data modes. I'd say that they do not want to think about packet, pactor,
etc. and that is the main source of the problem. However, I wanted to be
sure about technical facts and experience of other hams. Up to now it
seems that no radio was "burnt" after data modes, HI.
