I have used a mild steel bar 6mm x 600mm shaped like a butcher's hook, with an
insulated loop at the bottom & put into a sturdy chimney pot, to support 160m
long wire aerial going over the house.

           ____ Insulated
    steel /.--,\ loop
±± bar Ý ±± Þ ___
±± over Ý ±± Þ//~\\ .ú'
±± top Ý ±± \\__//ú'
±± of Ý ±± ~~~~ú aerial wire
±± Pot ±± '.threaded
±± ±± ú in loop

To insulate the loop I put on 150mm of polly tubing, & over that some garden
hose pipe, before bending it in to a loop in a strong vice, & leaving just
enough gap to let the wire in.

To put it in place once the wire was threaded @ 11m up, I "loosely" taped it to
a thin light 5m pole, that went through the loop. Then using a ladder at only
gutter height aimed it at the pot. Once in place I worked the pole to free it
from the tape. When the wire broke, recovery was done with the same 5m pole
this time threaded it into the loop hole & the wire soon replaced.

Why Don't U send an interesting bul?
