...There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms over parts of the
Central Gulf Coast and Southeast...

...Heavy rain possible over parts of the Central Gulf Coast/Lower
Mississippi Valley to the Southeast...

...Heavy snow possible over parts of the Northern Plains/Upper Mississippi
Valley...

...Snow possible over the Cascades and Central Rockies...

A front extending from the Northern Plains to the Great Basin will move
east and southward to Great Lakes/Ohio Valley to the Central Gulf Coast
and banked up against the Southern Rockies by Tuesday evening. The system
will produce snow over parts of the Northern/Central Rockies/Great Basin
to the Northern Plains, ending over the Northern High Plain/Central
Rockies overnight Monday. The snow will move into parts of the
Upper/Middle Mississippi Valley and Upper Great Lakes by Monday evening
into Tuesday evening. The snow will be heavy over parts of the Northern
Plains/Upper Mississippi Valley.

Behind the system, onshore flow off the Pacific will aid in producing rain
and higher elevation snow through Tuesday morning. The snow levels will
lower substantially by Monday, with a mix of rain and snow possible even
at the lower elevations around Puget Sound. Additional upper-level energy
will move over the Northwest Coast overnight Monday aiding in the
development of rain and higher elevation snow over parts of the Pacific
Northwest into Northern California by Tuesday morning with snow expanding
into parts of the Northern/Central Rockies and Great Basin by Tuesday
evening.

Meanwhile, another front over the Gulf Coast will lift northward into the
Tennessee Valley/Southeast by Tuesday morning and move off the Southeast
Coast by Tuesday evening. Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico will overrun
the boundary and pool along the front aiding in the development of showers
and thunderstorms over the Western Gulf Coast to parts of the Southeast
that will end over the Western Gulf Coast by Tuesday morning. The showers
and thunderstorms will be confined to the Florida peninsula by Tuesday
evening. Rain will also develop over parts of the Southern Plains into
parts of the Carolinas that will likewise end over the Southern Plains by
Tuesday morning. The rain will lift into parts of the Middle Mississippi
Valley eastward into the Southern Mid-Atlantic overnight Monday. By
Tuesday evening the rain will move into the Ohio Valley/Lower Great Lakes
and parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic. Some snow may develop over the
higher elevations of the Central Appalachians and Northern Mid-Atlantic.

Elsewhere, upper-level energy over the Great Lakes to the Northeast will
move eastward over Eastern Canada and off the Northeast Coast by Tuesday
afternoon. The energy will aid in producing snow and rain over parts of
the Great Lakes/Northeast into the Mid-Atlantic on Monday morning confined
to Northern New England by Monday evening and ending by Tuesday morning.
