No active tropical cyclones or named hurricanes pose a direct threat to mainland Central America over the next 7 days. High-pressure ridges and unfavorable atmospheric wind shear over the Caribbean Sea continue to suppress significant cyclonic organization, steering active global storm development far away from the region.
The latest long-range guidance from the [National Hurricane Center (NHC)](https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gtwo.php) and regional meteorological institutes highlights the following tracking setups:
------------------------------
## 🌀 Atlantic & Caribbean 7-Day Outlook
The Caribbean basin remains completely quiet and free of dangerous storm tracks heading toward the Central American coastline. Forecasters are focusing exclusively on open-ocean features:

* Central Subtropical Atlantic (Invest 98L): A well-defined area of low pressure located midway between the Lesser Antilles and the west coast of Africa is producing disorganized showers. The NHC gives this system a low 30œhance of development over the next 7 days. Dry air and upper-level shear are forecast to dismantle this system as it drifts slowly westward. It poses zero threat to Central America.
