...Rain for the Pacific Northwest, Texas, and the Upper Midwest...

The area of the nation with the most active weather through Tuesday will
be across Texas. A broad swath of moderate to heavy rainfall is becoming
more likely from the Rio Grande to northeast Texas ahead of a slow moving
front. The heaviest rainfall is likely Monday night and into Tuesday as
deep moisture from the Gulf of Mexico surges northward and interacts with
the frontal boundary. Some areas could get 2 to 4 inches of rainfall by
Tuesday evening. Some severe thunderstorms will also be possible across
this same general area. An additional area of rainfall is expected from
central Minnesota to the upper peninsula of Michigan as a surface low
continues tracking eastward.

A weakening Pacific cold front is expected to move inland and across the
Pacific Northwest on Monday, bringing yet another round of coastal rain
and mountain snow to much of this region and extending into northern
California Monday night. The rain and snow amounts with this next system
should be lighter than what was observed over the past few days.

Across the eastern U.S., mostly sunny and warm conditions are expected
ahead of the approaching cold front to the west. Tuesday will also be a
warm day along the East Coast before scattered showers arrive by the
middle of the week. Isolated showers will also be possible across parts
of South Florida for the beginning of the week.
