Low pressure over the Tennessee Valley and parts of the Southeast will
deepen as the storm moves eastward to the Southeast Coast by Monday
evening. The system will produce showers and thunderstorms from parts of
the Southern Mid-Atlantic to the Tennessee Valley and southward to the
Central Gulf Coast that will move to the Southeast Coast by Monday
evening. Rain will also develop over parts of the Ohio Valley to the
Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast on Sunday evening that will, likewise, move to
the Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast by Monday evening. In addition, a weak
upper-level low over Southern Florida will move northeastward out over the
Western Atlantic by Monday. The storm will produce showers and
thunderstorms over Southern Florida through Sunday night.
Meanwhile, a front extending from the Upper Great Lakes to the Northern
High Plains will move eastward to New England Coast and stretching
westward to Upper Mississippi Valley/Northern Plains by Monday evening.
The system will produce rain and snow overnight Saturday from the Northern
Plains into the Upper Great Lakes through Monday morning when the
rain/snow mix will change over to rain over the Upper Great Lakes/Upper
Mississippi Valley into Monday evening. Rain and snow will continue over
parts of the Northern Plain through Monday evening.
In the meantime, a front over the Great Basin into Southern California
will move eastward to the Upper Mississippi Valley/Central Plains while
extending westward to Great Basin by Monday evening. The system will
produce rain and highest elevation snow over parts of the Pacific
Northwest/Northern California and highest elevation snow and lower
elevation rain over the Northern Rockies that will expand into parts of
the Central Rockies overnight Sunday. The precipitation will wane over
the Central Rockies on Monday. Additionally on Monday, a plume of
moisture will move into Northern California that will move into Central
California by Monday evening. Heavy rain will develop over parts of the
Pacific Northwest/Northern California on Monday. The moisture will move
inland allowing rain and higher elevation snow to return to the Central
Rockies by Monday evening.
