The Pacific side is experiencing a massive burst of tropical activity with three active hurricanes moving across the open ocean, well clear of the Central American mainland: [2, 6]

All three systems are tracking westward or northwestward over open waters, well out to sea southwest of Mexico and heading toward the Hawaiian Islands. [2]
* Area of Potential Development: An area of low pressure is forecast to form well offshore of southwestern Mexico early next week.
