...There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms over parts of the
Central Gulf Coast...

...Heavy rain possible over parts of the Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast and
New England Coast...

A front extending from the Southeast Coast to the Lower Mississippi Valley
will develop a deepening wave of low pressure over the Southeast that will
move off the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast on Saturday. The low will deepen
off the Northern Mid-Atlantic Coast and move northward to just south of
the New England Coast by Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms will develop
from the Southern Mid-Atlantic Coast to the Lower Mississippi Valley that
will move to the Southeast Coast by Saturday afternoon and off the coast
by early Sunday morning. Rain will also develop over parts of the
Northern Mid-Atlantic/Central Appalachians that will expand into parts of
the Northeast and off the Mid-Atlantic Coast overnight Saturday. The rain
will continue over New England on Sunday. In addition, upper-level energy
over Western Ontario and the Upper Great Lakes will move southeastward to
the Northern Mid-Atlantic/Northeast by Sunday. The energy will trigger
rain showers over parts of the Great Lakes through Sunday.

Meanwhile, an upper-level low over the Pacific Northwest/Northern
California will slowly weaken while parts of the energy moves to the
Northern High Plains by Sunday. The system will produce rain with
embedded daytime thunderstorms over parts of the Pacific Northwest
eastward to the Northern Rockies/Northern High Plains and higher elevation
snow that will continue through to Sunday.
