An upper-level low over the Middle Mississippi Valley will slowly move
eastward to the Ohio Valley/Central Appalachians by Thursday evening.
The system will produce showers and thunderstorms over the Southeast that
will expand into parts of the Ohio Valley/Central Appalachians and parts
of the Tennessee Valley by Wednesday evening. The showers and
thunderstorms will mainly move off the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast Coast by
Thursday morning. Some of the showers and thunderstorms will linger over
parts of the Mid-Atlantic into Thursday evening. In addition, rain will
develop over parts of Upper Great Lakes/Ohio Valley into parts of the
Northern Mid-Atlantic and into parts of the Lower Mississippi Valley on
Wednesday morning that will be limited to parts of the Middle Mississippi
Valley by Wednesday evening. The rain will move into parts of the Ohio
Valley and the Lower Great Lakes overnight Wednesday. The rain will also
move into the Great Lakes/Central Appalachians and the Northeast by
Thursday evening.
Meanwhile, a front over the Northern High Plains to parts of the Great
Basin will move eastward to the Northern/Central Plains into the Central
Rockies/Great Basin by Thursday evening. Areas of rain and highest
elevation snow will develop over parts of the Northern Rockies by
Wednesday evening that will continue over the area with rain developing
over parts of the Pacific Northwest by Thursday evening. Rain will also
develop over parts of the Northern High Plains into parts of the Great
Basin that will move into parts of the Upper Midwest into the Central
Rockies by Thursday evening.
