Hello ECMs,

Dear S+L community,

as you all know, the results for Snakes and Ladders are faithfully reported
by our Manager Robert. The monthly maps are also supplied.

This is a nice amount of detail that we all enjoy every month. I have now
added an additional overview. I shows the standings in our current edition
of Snakes and Ladders in map format. While our traditional map show the
locator fields of the contacted stations present in the monthly master log
the new map is different.

The new map shows the story from the viewing point of the participants. Every
participant is shown as a yellow circle centered around her or his QTH.
The size of the circle is proportional to the scores reached in the current
edition. Active participants have big circles, occasional participants with
few contacts are shown as small circles or dots.

The NEW MAP is located here: eucw.org/slpx.png

Please have a look on it. If you (I mean you ECM) feel that there are too
few circles in your country please ask yourself how much you did to tell
your club about Snakes and Ladders. After all it is the one and only on air
activity of the European CW Association. The least I would expect from you
is to be present on this map. Even non-Europeans may participate if
they manage to get at least one contact with Europe per month.

Hey, ECM, you are doing this because you have volunteered to be ECM. If you
don't like this job please give it to someone else. The only qualification of
an ECM is to be a EUCW club member and to have a useful command of English.
The ECM is a role model for others in his willingness to foster activity
in Europe in a pro active way.

If you wish to receive similar maps for previous editions of Snakes and
Ladders, feel free to drop me a line or use the contact form on eucw.org.
Likewise, please tell me if you are interested in monthly updates of this
map.

Martin
