AGCW-DL Straight Key Party (HTP)
I. Objective
To promote the use of straight keys. This contest is open to all
users of such keys and to Short Wave Listeners (SWL).
II. Dates/Times
Straight Key Party 80m (HTP80):
First Saturday of February from 1600 to 1900 UTC.
Straight Key Party 40m (HTP40):
First Saturday of September from 1300 to 1600 UTC.
Next Dates: 2022-FEB-05 and 2022-SEP-03
III. Frequencies
HTP80: 3510-3560 kHz, HTP40: 7000-7040 kHz
IV. Categories
Category A: Up to 5 Watt output (10W input)
Category B: Up to 50W output (100W input)
Category C: Up to 150W output (300W input)
Category D: SWL
V. Operation
Mode: CW/A1A (this excludes machine decoding)
At the start of the contact each entrant has to transmit both his
own c/s and the c/s of the other station. e.g. DL1ABC de DL9XYZ.
EXCHANGE DATA: RST, a 3-digit serial number, category,
name, age. Ladies send "XX" instead of their age. Examples:
"569001/A/TOM/39", "589004/C/ROSEL/XX"
VI. Scoring
QSO POINTS:
Category A with category A: 9 points
Category A with category B: 7 points
Category A with category C: 5 points
Category B with category B: 4 points
Category B with category C: 3 points
Category C with category C: 2 points
FINAL SCORE: Sum of all QSO points.
VII. LOGS
LOG INFORMATION:
UTC, band, call signs, exchange data, category, station
description, claimed score. Please declare explicitly that you
were using a straight key over the entire contest period (refrain
from calling cq using pre-recorded loops).
SWLs logs have to record both calls and at least one complete
exchange data set per qso.
